Sales Coordinator
JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Sales Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales Manager in developing, maintaining, and enhancing business through various sales channels. You will assist in executing strategic action plans aimed at achieving incremental sales revenue for the hotel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in building and nurturing effective relationships with key online channel partners.
· Support in identifying potential opportunities for revenue enhancement and contribute to improving revenue performance.
· Keep track of competitor strategies and market trends to identify potential business opportunities.
· Ensure compliance of online channel accounts with corporate strategy.
Monitor and ensure that the hotel's information is correctly displayed on local online channels.
· Assist in managing the listing of approved online channel partners on designated online platforms.
· Participate in regional marketing programs and assist in the promotion of related products for online delivery.
· Aid in the effective implementation and monitoring of online channels' promotional and marketing programs.
· Stay updated on local and environmental issues impacting the city and hotels in Japan.
· Contribute to preparing regular SWOT analyses highlighting threats and opportunities to the General Manager/hotel management.
· Support the corporate team in preparing regular channel performance reports.
· Assist in developing and implementing sales plans and participate in the annual budgeting and planning process.
· Collaborate closely with other hotel departments and communicate sales-related information as necessary.
· Represent the hotel at special events or networking functions to generate new business opportunities.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
· This role is accountable for supporting the Sales Manager in achieving established sales goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· A higher diploma or above in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, reservation, revenue, or distribution, preferably within the hospitality industry.
· Fluency in both local dialect and English; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
· Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests, employees, and third parties.
· Strong reading and writing abilities for completing paperwork, reports, and training materials.
· Basic mathematical skills.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
