JOB OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager oversees the overall operations of the hotel to maximize revenue, deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain brand standards, and ensure efficient day-to-day operations. The Operations Manager also works closely with department leaders to develop and retain employees, manage operating costs and hotel facilities, and collaborate with ownership and the corporate office to achieve business objectives and drive the hotel's long-term success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager oversees the overall operations of the hotel to maximize revenue, deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain brand standards, and ensure efficient day-to-day operations. The Operations Manager also works closely with department leaders to develop and retain employees, manage operating costs and hotel facilities, and collaborate with ownership and the corporate office to achieve business objectives and drive the hotel's long-term success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the overall operations of the hotel, ensuring effective cost control, guest satisfaction, brand compliance, revenue maximization, and employee development and retention.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, government authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Analyze operational and business issues, support problem-solving, and propose and implement practical and innovative solutions.
- Prepare the annual hotel budget and monitor and analyze budget performance throughout the year.
- Optimize occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) to maximize revenue.
- Manage hotel operations while ensuring compliance with brand standards and maintaining effective control of revenue and operating costs.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, operational practices, and systems, and develop and implement appropriate action plans.
- Evaluate overall hotel operations to ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational procedures.
- Work with the hotel operations team to prepare and submit monthly reports to the owners and corporate office on time.
- Regularly review operational performance and drive continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and business results.
- Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of hotel facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Operations or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hotel industry, including at least 2 years as an Operations Manager or Department Head
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of limited-service hotel operations and hotel financial management
- Sound knowledge of data analysis and operational performance metrics
- Experience with hotel pre-opening or conversion projects is an advantage
