JOB OVERVIEW:
Drive the hotel’s financial success by leading reporting, budgeting, payroll, and compliance, while partnering with leadership to optimize profitability, strengthen controls, and ensure a seamless employee experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting
  • Ensure that Finance team are providing accurate month end closing and all other required management reports on a timely basis
  • Work with the General Manager and other Head Of Departments to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel
  • Develop best practice accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency
  • Monitor and improve hotel operation costs, profitability and manage business risks.
  • Ensure that balance sheet and bank reconciliations are performed on a monthly basis
  • Lead monthly finance update meetings with General Manager and HODs
  • Assist other organization units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and control efficient utilization of financial resources
  • Managing cash flow and credit collection
  • Liaise with external auditors/tax agents for audit and corporate tax matters.
  • Other ad hoc projects
Payroll
  • Work with external payroll vendor to manage the full payroll cycle, including data preparation, validation, processing, and posting to the general ledger.
  • Coordinate with HR and external payroll vendors to resolve discrepancies and employee payroll queries.
  • Maintain proper payroll documentation, controls, and audit trails.
Administrative
  • Navigate and use hotel accounting system
  • Assist auditors with their queries promptly
  • Maintain quality, integrity and consistency in all financial activities
  • Work in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
Deployment
  • Take on ad-hoc office or other projects when assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent
  • Proven working experience in similar capacity or role in hospitality industry or audit firm
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and accounting software
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Attention to details and good problem-solving ability
  • Well organized and able to priorities to meet timeline requirement
